This policy explains how the VoIPTech Solutions website, https://voiptech.solutions/, uses cookies and similar technologies. The website is run by Voiptech Solutions and Systems Ltd (“VoIPTech Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
In short
- Online checkout uses a secure order-session cookie and payment-provider cookies.
- It doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking.
- The order-session cookie expires after 24 hours and is not accessible to page scripts.
- The map on our contact page comes from Google, which may set its own cookies.
- If that changes, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit it. Websites use them to work properly (for example, to keep you signed in), to remember your choices, to measure visits, or to show adverts.
Other technologies do similar jobs, such as local storage in your browser, tracking pixels in web pages and emails, and scripts that read information from your device. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
Cookies on this website
Our online checkout sets vt_checkout_receipt, an encrypted, HTTP-only cookie used to retrieve your order and payment status. It expires after 24 hours and is sent only to our checkout API. The checkout form does not save your contact details in local storage. In particular:
- we don’t use analytics, so we don’t measure or track your visits;
- we don’t use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels;
- our pages load their fonts, images and scripts from our own website, not from other companies’ servers, apart from the Google map on our contact page and the payment provider’s page when you proceed to pay; and
- links to social media, maps and the AI assistants in our footer are plain links, which load nothing from those companies until you click them.
| Type of cookie | What it does | Used here |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Retrieves your checkout order and payment status. WooCommerce and payment providers may also use cookies to operate secure payment forms and prevent fraud. | Checkout |
| Preferences | Remembers choices you make, such as your language or region. | No |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows how people use a website. | No |
| Advertising and tracking | Follows you across websites to show you adverts or build a profile of your interests. | No |
Our customer portals and other websites
Some of our links take you to separate websites, which set their own cookies:
- Our customer portals: Wave, Communicator and Hosting are separate services with their own sign-in, and they set the cookies they need to keep you signed in. The domain search on our home page opens the Hosting portal.
- Google Maps on our contact page: the map on our contact page is loaded from Google when the page opens. Google may set cookies and receive information about your device, such as your IP address, under its own privacy and cookie policies.
- Other companies’ websites: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X, Google Maps, and the AI assistants linked in our footer (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Mode, Grok and Perplexity). We don’t control the cookies these websites set, so please read their own cookie policies.
Checkout and future changes
When you choose a payment method, you leave this website for the provider’s secure payment page, such as Stripe or PayPal. Their cookies and device checks may be used to complete payments and prevent fraud. Their own policies explain their storage practices: Stripe and PayPal. We will update this policy when we change our use of cookies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking cookies may prevent checkout, payment-status checks or our customer portals from working properly. Your browser’s help pages explain how:
The Information Commissioner’s Office explains cookies and the choices you have at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever we change how our website uses cookies, and change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
