Consolidating communications onto one platform across 22 sites
A social housing provider with over 6,000 homes moved to one cloud platform, with a managed WAN for 22 sites and a 200-user contact centre.
The challenge
A social housing provider that owns over 6,000 homes and 30 sheltered housing schemes was saddled with an outdated phone system that was costly and fragile. They wanted to move their communications, and ultimately their entire infrastructure, into the cloud.
Their main aim was cost-efficiency, partly by taking complexity out of their IT. Instead of disparate systems and multiple vendors, they wanted a single cloud, managed by a single cloud-services provider.
What we delivered
- A centralised network secured by a high-capacity 40Gbps firewall
- A managed WAN delivering services to 22 sites
- A full contact centre with UC-One for 200 users
The outcome
The provider's communications were consolidated onto a single platform, with one cloud and one vendor in place of multiple legacy systems. Our role did not end at go-live: the client trusted us to keep an eye on the solution once it was live.
The success of the project led to discussions about future work, including virtual conferencing and full cloud migrations.
